4. Research paper

Unfortunately to make a decision in a short time seems too hard. Anyway, when Sonja was giving information about each option, I found domestic violence option interesting. However I don't want to write just about domestic violence in Turkey, instead want to combine violence with stereotyped men and also how adoloscents become rude and impolite. It might be linked to the formation of teenage identity. So if I can find enough sources to link stereotyping and adolscence,I am going to write about domestic violence,in other case I am thinking to do research about honour killings, which is quite interesting and also sad. Even today we have these kinds of incidents a lot and media try to hide the news rather than report and instruct them. As a result I'll do my research paper based on option one but I haven't decided yet which one I am going to choose.

3. Where are you going where have you been

The title of this short story is quite suitable for the content of the story. Actually the story is telling about a girl, who is little depressed and rebellious against her family. The period between childhood and adulthood is usually make teenagers to feel themselves under pressure and make them want full freedom. Here we can see a teenage girl, who is trying to prove herself to her peers and her family. In some part this kind of acting is normal, they usually struggle both emotionally and physically. Imagine you are trying to be accepted by your surrounding, even you do not know yourself. Connie, the main character, feel and act as a normal teenage. However as a detail, we see that the author mentiones how Connie gets jealous of her sister. Some of you might think that this part has no importance for the story, however besides the story this detail might be the evidence of psychology of adoloscents. Being a teenager might make you feel somehow depressed and confused, even you might get jealous of your own sister. Besides this part we mainly decided that Connie was day dreaming at the end of the story,in which a man seduces her and forces her to go with him. If this was day dreaming, it might be linked to the fear of getting know her (Connie) sexual identity part.
